Sacolas na cabeça - DF
Sacolas na cabeça is an intervention where people walk through urban space dressed with shopping bags on their heads. The environment is modified with the invasion and presence of beings, apparitions that defy logic and instigate reality, creating a parallel world. Made as masks and worn in a way that subverts their pragmatic use, they are an invitation to interaction and new insights. With a profusion of interpretations and senses, they function as relational objects, a detonating device of relations, reactions, situations and interpretations that reveal what is invisible but latent in the socio-political-cultural context of a given space and moment. Critical and political reflections, playful interactions and displacement of day-to-day practical perceptions arise from the breakdown of everyday logic. The Sacolas na cabeça are also focal points that direct the passerby’s gaze to spatial compositions in the urban landscape making visible details and dimensions of architecture and urbanism that pass unnoticed. In addition, the masks also create an effect of emphasis of the body, because with the homogeneity of physiognomies, the individual expressions of each body become more visible. The bags distributed are appropriated in many different ways by passersbys and population, who end up composing the performance with the dancers, promoting countless relationships between people and environment.
