Create a first contact with ballroom dance and the technique of partnering, proposing the resumption of the couple dance in childhood as a poetic of approaching of bodies at parties and celebrations.

 

Victor Maia Soares is an advertising man and teacher of ballroom dance. His contact with dance began in 2003 at the Dance Company Marcelo Amorim, where he remained for 11 years, becoming an instructor in 2007. In addition to participating in congresses and workshops in Brazil, in 2016 he was invited to make his first tour of Europe giving forró classes in France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. In order to move the dance scene in Brasilia, in 2012 he created the WFC – Workshops of Forró in the capital, a periodic event that invites the main specialists of forró dance to participate. In 2015 he opened the Lá na Dança Center, one of the main dance spaces in the city, which currently has more than 20 teachers and different types of dance.

João Sampaio studies a Degree in Dance at the Federal Institute of Brasília. Member of the Grupo Calaf (Funk, Ragga and Trap). Choreographer, dancer and performer at various events and shows in Brasilia, João conducts funk workshops for beginners.

Nininha Albuquerque - Street Dance | CCBB

A stimulus to expressiveness and creativity by uniting different techniques and modalities of Street dances (hip hip, passinho dancing, waacking) with the elements of the view points (repetition, speed, time, space), promoting the body investigation of each child. A playful game to dance.

 

18h - adults

The junction of Brazilian urban dances of some Latin American and Africa countries are the basis of a lesson that brings the points in common of these dances full of roll and expressivity. This is a class to investigate the body and its physical powers. What corporal paths can we draw with the affectations of these dances?

Nininha Albuquerque is a dancer, researcher, artist and producer. She develops art through the creative fragments of existence. She produced the show “O [não] Costume de Adão” and the event Museum’s Jam as part of the collectives Ceda-si and Gambiarra. She is member of the collectives Medusa, Janela, R.U.A Crew and Grupo Liquidificador. As a dancer, she participated in the artistic residency with the french choreographer Assohoto Jean-Hugues and performed with many groups and dance centers. Nininha has been working professionally since 2009 teaching street dance, urban dances, improvisation, contemporary, passinho, funk, jazz and stretchin classes and also doing body preparation for actors. She wrote the articles “O Negro na dança” and “O Espaço do dançarino negro” and conducts research on Brazilian and African urban dances and their relation to somatic education.
