NAS TRILHAS DO MANGUEZAL - DF

The work lauds the salt marsh, one of the most important ecosystems in the world today, leading society to reflect about its enormous contribution to protect the world from global warming. The group barges into the importance of the beings that inhabit this place based on Lehandro Lira childhood experiences in the middle of the salt marshs in the city of Recife and the musical album “Da lama ao chaos”, by Chico Science. The traditional populations live almost exclusively from this activity, so they respect their natural cycles. From the references of the crab collectors and the observation of the crustaceans, the interpreters plunged into the sensations of the ‘man-animal’, recognizing the places of reproduction and the respective periods for the capture. The work uses the aesthetics of Brazilian popular dances and contemporary dance, transmitting in a peculiar way with the identity of each dancer the grandeur that this universe brings inside this “muddy ballet”.
