Boomerang -  France

The dancers are inspired by the boomerang, hunting gun and Australian gaming instrument, which has crossed spaces and our imaginary since the beginning of time. How immemorial violence is inscribed in our humanity and how increasing tangible violence interferes in our lives. A violence that is expressed in acts and words in our system, where words like growth, flexibility and productivity lead to the logic of destruction and truculence. However, because the color red may represent the bleeding and beating of a heart, violence does not mean only destruction, it is also strength. Strength that allows overcoming and daring. Variation in the same theme from different angles, the boomerang offers this energy that lives in us. Fueled by the taste of challenge and play, Bouba Landrille Tchouda launches eight dancers on stage and mobilizes the energy and sensuality of bodies, in a sharp, poetic or playful way, to provoke a dialogue between these mobile forces and alleviate some of our weaknesses and contradictions. What a human being can be ashamed of, but also proud. The dancers insert in the dance situations of power and submission, reinvent the war games and make up saving illusions. Life. Violence. These two words reverberate as if they had the same starting point: it all depends on how we deal with them.
