Flecha - DF

Flecha is a sharp object shot in the air, an act of claiming impossible bodies. A revolt dance to play in times of crisis, a crooked cry like a knife, a mask pulled out of the skin. An ebó to transform a possible present. The solo Flecha broaches the use of red color in the body as a symbolic act of force and claim. The performer dyes her face in red to undo it, to blur her identity, to dig the skin for leaving herself and turn into others, accessing ancestralities and puissances of a body-color in transmutation. The second creation of the young artist Luara Learth Moreira was produced within the framework of the PEPCC training in the city of Lisbon, in a residence in the Espaço do Tempo in Montemor-o-novo, Algarve, Portugal, in november 2016 and premiered in the Teatro Meridional, in the city of Lisbon, in december of the same year. The piece counts on the coaching of Teresa Silva and Vera Mantero and light of Nuno Figueira.
