The play, guided by surrealism, is a poetic look at the magic of perceiving the world through the senses and communication. It draws a parallel with the voice of the child, who from birth communicates with the eyes, the smile, the whimpering, the gestures and builds the first words by instinct, by interactions and by what she hears from the world. It compares the child’s trip with the obstacles encountered by the cicada. Euphony is expression through dance, and from this, the discoveries of communication become possible. The show establishes a playful and unusual universe, but its strength lies in the way in which the cognitive discoveries of the cicada develop. The simplicity of the actions and the manipulation of the props allow the child the imaginative composition of the narrative.
